Pasadena Water and Power by Gonzalez Goodale Architects

Gonzalez Goodale Architects are the designers of the 31,400 sqf project, Pasadena Water and Power located in Pasadena, California, USA. Alison Spicer has in charge the sustainable design program that will meet LEED Gold standards.

The fabric environment includes the new buildings, also the historic neighbor and an oak framed pedestrian space. On the frontage of the new building is installed a cooler system, an evaporative water that ‘rains’ from the façade. There were used recycled and locally-sourced materials, sustainably harvested wood products.

With vertical striations of intermittent piers and curtain wall, a 2-story glass curtain wall, Water and Power Building requires a diaphanous presence.
