Villa 4.0 - a Sun-Flooded Sustainable Dream Home

Amsterdam-based studio Dick van Gamerem Architecten redesigned the Villa 4.0. The house is surrounded by an amazing landscape, everything around is green and near the house there is a little lake. The house was renovated once in 1972, once in 1967 into a bungalow and now into a contemporary villa. The young owners will enjoy living in such a beautiful, modern home.

The house fits perfectly for t single family, it has a fresh and welcoming atmosphere. The key word for the Netherlands villa is sustainable, the old building was kept almost intact making a transitional charm. As the materials used were already on site the cost were reduced.

The old wood walls were replaced by the new glass walls aluminum framed that are more appropriate for the current owners. Light is one of the most important element when designing a house and the architects saw this as a priority too. The atmosphere inside is amazing, the skylights and retractable windows and the colors of the furniture gave the house a fresh, vivid touch. The connection with the nature is an incredible strong relation, this and characteristics as airy, spacious, comfortable that are obvious makes the house gorgeous.
