The Head 1815 House – a South African Exotic Building Abounding in Light

The Head 1815 House is located in Cape Town, South Africa and it is designed by Stefan Antoni Olmesdahl Truen Architects (SAOTA).

The building is dynamic and large, accommodating rooms for family and spaces for guests, too. The property views towards the north and west over Fresnaye as well as at the rear of the site and it is raised above on high columns. It accommodates three floors: the guest suites on the ground floor, with a plant area. The first floor is the main living space, including living room, dining room, opened to a covered and uncovered pool terrace. The kitchen enchants your eyes. It is positioned to enjoy views through the glass roof.

The walls are painted in white and, together with the large floor to ceiling windows; they enhance natural light allowing it to flood the inner space. The second floor accommodates the master bedroom, dressing room and a light-filled en-suite with views over the pool below. The furniture is white and elegant, creating a peaceful atmosphere. The floor is in granite, the kitchen is modern and well equipped and the whole residence abounds in light and exotic peace.
