The Chamoson Residence – a Rocky Home in the Mountains
The Chamoson Residence is designed by Savioz Fabrizzi Architecte and it is located in Chamoson, Switzerland. The house is old and keeps the features of the old 1800 building, envisioning a contemporary residence with a genuine rocky surface.
The house perfectly matches with the stones of the mountains from the background, maintaining and reinforcing the mountains’ strength, emphasizing the existing stone structure, while using concrete for the parts to be replaced, in order to create a completely mineral feel to the whole. In harmony with the outdoor landscape, the interior is made up from unrefined mineral materials, with natural stone and concrete. The inner space is simple and minimalist, with large windows looking like paintings on a wall, envisioning the beauty of the landscape surrounding as if you were inside a panoramic cinema.
Nice yellow kitchen enlighten the sobriety of the stone wall, a painting studio with large view towards the panorama, comfortable sofas in the living space, cozy and minimalist bedrooms and nice elegant bathroom are the simple elements of this interesting and cozy home, making the cold materials of construction speak and become warm and tender.
