Wiesergut Design Hotel, a Charming Winter Retreat in the Mountains
Wiesergut Design Hotel was designed by Monica Gogl of Gogl & Partner architect and it is located on the ski slopes in Austria’s picturesque Saalbach-Hinterglemm region, a dreaming landscape which, together with the hotel, offer a memorable refuge for winter enthusiasts.
The hotel architecture is charming, composed of a four-story house from the 14th century which rises above a few minimalist, modern dwellings. While the main building displays a relatively compact shape and a matte white finish, the neighboring volumes are mostly defined by glass. Placed at the edge of a mountain top, the hotel looks like a home, a nice, warm and cozy shelter, waiting for you after a long run in the snow, with lights and fireplace on. The hotel itself is luminous, natural light penetrating through large floor to ceiling windows, ensuring a natural flow of the light inside the whole building. Snow from outside has its part of contribution in enhancing light and intimacy from the inner spaces. The inside swimming pool assures spending a pleasant time while you are inside and the spa treatments determine you to see life in happy colors.
White walls, wooden floors and white furniture assure comfortable atmosphere and challenge winter from outside to reflect its cozy and warm side inside, by the fireplace, in the kitchen or, within the cozy bedrooms or bathrooms. Nature is an important character here!
