Swinomish Indian Reserve Cabin- a Cozy Hand Lamp of the Forest

The Sneeoosh Cabin is an ingenious building designed by Zeroplus Architects, located near Deception Pass on the Swinomish Indian Reserve in Puget Sound, Washington. This modern cabin looks like a green house surrounded by forest and splendid landscapes, in perfect harmony with the surroundings.

As it appears in the pictures, at evening, the house is cozy illuminated like a huge hand lamp of the forest. It integrates a glass-enclosed living room visually connected to the surroundings. The entrance portrays a living space with glass walls, allowing nature to penetrate the interior, bringing freshness and peace among the coziness and the elegance of the furniture. You feel exposed to the wood when sitting comfortable on the sofa, or, maybe the wood feels exposed to your admiring eyes. In opposition with this feeling, a heavily insulated sleeping area assures night comfort, where seclusion and darkness create a profound nocturnal rest.

The entire cabin balances itself between indoors and outdoors, between being exposed all day long and wanting relief, warm and security as you sleep. Cozy kitchen and bathroom complete the image of this nice hiding place, with a splendid architecture.
