New Year’s Eve is almost here and it’s one of the greatest days of the year! December it’s almost gone with its joy of living, agitation and hum. For this special day I imagine the glamour of a new year’s eve dinner table, set for the special guests of my soul.
For these two special days of December, I’ve thought to gather around some of the best table settings that I’ve ever seen, to give you some inspiration of how to decorate the New Year’s Eve and the Christmas table. Hope you’ll enjoy these 25 table decoration ideas and create an incredible table setting.
I see myself near a huge Christmas tree, adorned with silver tinsel and white balls. My guests enjoy a cozy fireplace, reflecting in its firelight the intimacy of the moment. We are having a small, intimate dinner, on a round table, dressed in white table cloth, adorned with romantic orange candles and a lot of fir tree branches, smelling like resin and reminding the freshness of a staunch fir tree forest in winter.
Or, I see myself in a cozy atmosphere of a white and red living space. The same warm fireplace, some Christmas carols and a good tasty red wine with cinnamon, listening to the wind and enjoying the festive table settings, these are details that complete the Christmas atmosphere. The table is white and red this time, white napkins tied up with red ribbons, red candles and elegant champagne glasses filled with red and white Christmas little balls, red and white being the main traditional Christmas colors.
I love spending Christmas at home, with my family! That’s why I’m looking for small surprises, because I feel vicarious pleasure when I see the joy of the persons I love most. In fact, Christmas is the celebration of love and happiness. I dream a small cottage home, somewhere deep into a snowy forest, with a great cozy fireplace, having a round table set for Christmas. There are green silk pillows on the chairs, increasing comfort, a white table cloth and napkins tided up with green ribbons, red ornaments and a round fir tree coronet in the middle of the table, with burning candles. What a great, splendid Christmas evening!
If I lived in a big and luxurious house, I’d invite some special guests and I would enjoy my chocolate wood table adorned with elegant red napkins and table cloth (or white and red stripes), red roses and coronets like velvet, red campaign glasses, a nice fir tree and the atmosphere of a special Christmas evening.
I could set the table near the fireplace, for intimacy and warmth; I will have the walls upholstered in red velvet. I set white candles; white globes and red candles are burning and making my special guests feel cozy and happy.
I imagine myself living in a large villa. Our Christmas table is now set by the large windows, having a red table cloth, white and golden plates (gold providing the glamour), crystal glasses and fir tree coronet in the middle of the table, together with a bunch of golden globes.
If I have a cozy chalet interior, I set my Christmas table by the fireplace for my guests, to feel warm, and cozy. We sit together, enjoying a table dressed in red, with festive napkins, fir tree cones and a huge but intimate fir tree keeping the warmth of family’s soul.
I could set the table near the fireplace, in a white décor, combined with red chairs, red ribbons and an impressive red globes chandelier, which has the same visual effect as a fir tree. Or, in the same white and red disposition, I could set the table in a black and elegant table cloth and I enlighten the atmosphere by placing red and white napkins, crystal glasses and red and silver little fir trees mingled among the cutlery.
Christmas table could enjoy a green table cloth, a splendid décor consisting in fir tree branches, full of fresh flavor of resin, combined with blue balls and little burning candles, providing intimacy, together with the crystal glasses, all these aspects inducing the glamorous feeling of this important celebration. Maybe I could combine red and green, thinking of Santa’s little elves, and I would set the table in white, with green napkins tied up with red ribbons, fresh fir tree branches and here it is a real Christmas festivity!
In my dreams, I have more than one version for the Christmas table. Sometimes I dream a completely white interior, which perfectly imitates the winter outside. I see myself setting a mahogany living table with white porcelain plates, white candles and a small white glamorous fir tree in the middle. The table enjoys the company of a fluffy white bear fur, creating intimacy and adding a plus of warm to this snowy elegant interior. The Snow Fairy could be my guest of honor!
I may set the table in white even if I live in a huge living space, because white is glamorous, reminding snow and my guests can enjoy a spectacular chandelier, especially set over the table for them. It is a huge Christmas globe made up from silver stars, this being the piece of résistance of the décor.
Because I have just spoken about chandeliers, if I decide to set the Christmas table based on a combination of white and red, to add a plus of intimacy to my living space, I set red napkins, red candles white and red lollipops, all the decors being surveyed by two big white chandeliers, like the Christmas globes in the fir tree, hanging over my festive table. Or I could place the cutlery inside small Christmas socks and Santa can come!
But I am excited thinking about a Christmas dinner in white and gold! I choose a silver fir tree, adorned with golden globes, reminding us the saint significance of Christmas; I dress a round table in white, I place golden napkins and ribbons and a small golden fir tree in its middle. In this way I create a cozy but full of elegance décor for the Christmas dinner.
I dream a simple green fir tree dressed in glamorous white like a bride and an intimate table, adorned as if I celebrate a wedding, in white table cloth, white and silver cutlery, small boxes tied up with white ribbons, white candles increasing the intimacy and a crystal elegant chandelier over the table. Isn’t it nice? Oh, Santa, could you fulfill all these dreams? Thank you!
