Impressive Asakusa Culture Tourist Information Center
The building was designed by the Chinese architect Kengo Kuma and is located across Kaminari-mon Gate, in Tokyo. The purpose of this construction is to gather and accommodate one or more programs such as a tourist information center or conference room.
The architecture of this building reveals a unique design which makes the entire area to have a different and improved look. The architect was inspired to do this kind of design for the tourist information center, from the houses around his neighborhood and can be considered a vertically extension of it. The piles used in the construction for support encompass within them a series of activities that represents a new concept design for these types of buildings that are revolutionizing this century’s architecture . The way the piles are placed leads to a splitting of each floor in 8 parts and this way determines the role of every floor.More than that, taking into account that the building has a slanted roof, they’ve set up a terraced floor with the idea of making the entire room a theater.
Furthermore, the first and the second floor will have in-door stairs in order to provide an impressive sensation between these two .Because every floor is used for a different purpose, the architecture is overall spectacular.
