Orange House by Yazgan Design Architecture
Orange House is located on a site that combines urban views with Middle East Technical University forest in Ankara, Turkey. The architects from Yazgan Design were asked for a plan that revels relationships between materials, program elements, demands of user, dimensional requirements, site peculiarities, Ankara climate. For this project communication was considered very important because the relation between the owner and the architect matters a lot, the base is represented by diagrams of how the user integrated with the design process.
The three storey building has interconnected rooms, easy circulation plan, revealing a strong connection between inside outside spaces. The employers needs can be observed clearly in the design, they used the peculiarity brought forward by steel construction to get the ideal shape. The Persia carpet was a reference when were taken dimensions for the dining room, the walls are double layered and inside the surface of them are placed shafts, niches, doors, wardropes.
This house is built on a steel structure of 60 cm X 60 cm grid dimensioning. With no exterior corners, a colorful interior design, colorful light and orange exterior, spacious and comfortable this modern house fulfills the owner’s demands. Orange House is a special house with unique decorative elements.
