Patane Residence Presenting an Impressive Design
The Patane Residence has been designed by the architects at bureau^proberts and is located on the crest of a hill facing south in Newmarket, Queensland, Australia.
The house was specially designed for a young family, and uses a transparent platform having in mind the idea to create a smooth connection between living space and play space, a connection that encourages the family activity all around the house. The architecture was obtained through a series of connected pavilions perched on solid concrete platforms, displaying a sense of refuge in an open and airy space. Being located on the crest of a hill, Patana Residence offers some great views over the Brisbane city skyline and Mount Coot-tha.
The design of this home is intended to take your thoughts far away to summer memories, those hot days spend in the cool, in shaded spaces, private spaces of the home being separated between the basement and upper level. The interior design is contemporary and modern and uses floor to ceiling windows, perfect to allow a great amount of natural light bright the space. The exterior walls of the house are made from solid concrete clad with timber elements, a reinterpretation of the craftsmanship of Queensland home construction, taking our thoughts to the suburban context of Newmarket’s 19th and 20th century dwellings.
