Impressive Slice House by Procter-Rihl Architects

The next project is called Slice House, it was designed by Procter-Rihl Architects and selected to represent Brazil in the IV Latin American Architecture Biennale in October 2004 in Peru.

The architecture of this house is inspired by the Brazilian modern architecture, combined with the asymmetrical complexity of the European and a few elements of complex prismatic geometry, all of them creating a series of spatial illusions in the interior space. The Brazilian inspiration can be seen in the open plan typology, large extrovert spaces, swimming pool, outdoor living and lush garden flora, while the British elements are the structural glass of the pool, steel front facade cladding, roof, gutters and attention to detailing. The area where the house is build was defined by a non-orthogonal design within a prismatic form, which creates the illusion as if the space is bigger than it actually is.

The interior design is very modern, some of the rooms uses blue for the walls and carefully chosen elements to create an unique design with a marine theme. The bedroom seems to be the most different room from the entire house, exuding a warm design with walls covered in wood combined with orange elements that creates a cozy environment.
