Fascinating Architecture: Busan Opera House
This impressive building has been designed by Sanzpont [architectura] and is a bold project proposal for the ‘Busan Opera House’ international competition, a futuristic project for Busan, South Korea.
The design takes its inspiration from the ‘um-yang’ which represents the balance of opposites, and is a part of the culture of the local inhabitants. So, the architects have tried to combine some elements from the anciet philosophy with modern and cutting edge elements. The building will incorporate the latest sustainable features, and will create a connection between the urban areas and the nature, the result being an iconic building with sustainable design. It will have an extensive green roof that will provide fresh air and an ambient temperature regulation, rainwater harvesting that will be used in landscape irrigation and photovoltaic solar panels that will provide enough electricity.
The visitors can access the museum from a rising pedestrian walkway that lead to four plazas symbolizing the elements of fire, earth, water and metal. On the way to the top there are several terraces at different levels that provides scenic viewpoints and once the visitors arrive on top level, they will have the opportunity to enjoy a fresh air and some incredible panoramic views.
