The designer tries to highlight that the toilet plunger is more than just a simple item, being very useful for this specific table. Rubber Table features an adopted idiosyncratic aesthetics, which is transferred to a new environment. The whole idea is about how the rubber plunger has become a table leg, creating a new way of looking at this ambivalent object. The table was manufactured from dyed rubber , and has an important property of preserving the color and the feel of the original object.
In my opinion, this funny rubber table could be appropriate for the children’s room, because it’s not only funny but it’s also kind of safe, being made entirely from a simple and flexible material which is rubber. Its toilet plunger legs are very flexible and easy to plunge, so that the table can be set in any position, you can put it even on the walls or ceiling. It’s also functional, because if you ever need a plunger for the kitchen or bathroom, there are five of them just attached to this simple table.
