Amazing Riverfront Residence by Taylor Design + BUILD

This stunning residence has been designed by Taylor Design + BUILD architects and is located in Tucson, Arizona, in a great natural landscape.

The architecture was first of all based on sustainability, and one of the most important factors was that the project had to be very well adapted to the weather conditions imposed by the buiding’s environment. The architects have tried to combine in an unique way the sustainability and the design of the structure, and they just nailed it, the result being quite stunning and spectacular.

Now, let’s take those two important features and see what brings each of them . The sustainability is represented by an energy saving ICF concrete wall system and a roof shading strategy. Also, since the residence is located in a desert area, the advantage is that the desert grasses and small flowering ground cover plants help with summer cooling thanks to the micro-shading from the leaves of the plants. I really love how the architects incorporated the green and nature inside the house, creating a beautiful transition. The interior design is very warm and cozy, i love the use of the light wood in every room, and that fireplace it’s just so dreamy.

The residence opens into an amazing space with a great pool and huge patio, just a perfect place to relax and enjoy the views, and guess what! It incorporates a green roof garden, also with the sustainability purpose to keep portions of the house isolated from the heat.
