NAIL TABLES BY SANDBACK
A furniture company, family-owned started in 1992, Sandback from New Hampshire introduced the Nail Table. The designer, Peter Sandback made an original coffee table. His collection is large, he used materials like oak and nails. For example for the table with floral pattern splayed across the surface he studded 5800 nails and it measures 36″ x 63″ x 16″h. In order to have a perfect drawing it is required lot of patience. Working with small, delicate material is not easy but the final product is impressive so it deserves such a work.
The concentric oval pattern table measures 23” x 81” x 16”h. The nails on the baked red oak are like water circles. The design reveals the beauty of the rain, its soft touch. Also perfection is found in the theme of this table, the circle. Because the tables are simple, touched by a classic element they can make a room more attractive. Usually we found tables with darker color and simple style, Peter Sandback offers more, engraving nails with high precision and fine art he obtained different designs. All of the products are made individually, by hand in Harrisville, New Hampshire shop, 564 Route 137. If the result is so beautiful, why shouldn’t see nails as art material?
