Horcasitas Apartment Remodel by DEN Architecture

The Horcasitas Apartment Remodel has been designed by DEN Architecture and the remodel project took place in Miami, Florida.

The result of the remodel is stunning, the transformation from an old-fashioned apartment into a modern collage of spatial experience was made with a very great precision and careful interventions. The apartment is very spacious and is filled with some great pieces of furniture and build-in cabinets. The interior design is composed of several volumes in different colors and monolithic forms, so that the deep earthen tones and rich dark woods are complemented with bright red accents creating a major transition between rooms, this way every room is different and unique. And because it’s the eco-friendly era, the apartment features dual-flush toilets, low VOC paint, reclaimed plumbing fixtures, recycled marble tiles, and the floors can be reused.

The master bathroom is separated from the bedroom through a wall that features three vertical windows that create a day-lit master suite with amazing views of Biscayne Bay. Also, the great openings in the bedroom are integrated with the custom-made headboard. The furniture for this apartment was chose not only for the coziness, but also to maximize the cross ventilation, and it was positioned to take advantage of the views and ocean breezes in the flow-through layout.
