Architects Turnbull Griffin Haesloop have designed the Hillside Residence in Kentfield, California. The hillside where the house is situated was chosen for the spectacular mountain views, Tamalpais and San Francisco bay.
The design of the curved retained walls complement very well with the appearance of the contours of the hillside and highlights the location surrounding the house. Hillside Residence can be seen, in my opinion, like the perfect place where people can spend their holidays. It’s a very quite place, perfect if you want to relax and forget all your problems from work. The roof of the house has a very interesting build, carved away, to achieve a secured courtyard for the pool side.
The house is divided in the living room, kitchen-dining room and the bedroom located above the living room. More than that, the house is equipped with cooling systems, battery storage and a cistern for the management of the water.
Hillside Residence offers a bohemian aspect that will impress anyone who will spend a couple of days there. The view is incredible and the whole place is like a little paradise, a place where people can come and enjoy an oasis of relaxation, swim or have a drink sitting on a chair near the pool.
