Cibercentro Macarena by MedioMundo

Socialcybercenter Macarena Tres Huertas was designed by Mediomundo Arquitectos Marta Pelegrin+Fernando Perez on 410 square meters. On the exterior it is painted in red, made by steel, with shutters that fold away from windows. The building is raised up on pilots so a Wi-Fi terrace was placed underneath. The structure is quite simple, on the ground floor after the entrance lobby are placed multi-purposed rooms, on the first floor are located the offices and on the roof a relaxing place, the terrace. The building got visual transparency on the ground level and also free circulation among the gardens, in this way the access to surrounding paths was optimized and people can enjoy the wi-fi plaza, the cafeteria.

Important points in developing the plan for this project were the climate control, the security and the privacy. To satisfy all these requirements the architects used brick wall, thermal insulation and they’ve create a space division that allows ventilation. The steel has different perforation densities, vertical lama, banderols that help the building breath and maintains a high level of privacy and security. Adapted on the extreme weather of Seville the isolation used is thick, the ventilation and the lightning natural.
