Greenwood House – a Combination of Practical Aspects & Green Landscapes
Greenwood House is designed by Malboeuf Bowie Architecture and it is located in Seattle, Washington. Its designed responds to all the modern life necessities of a family, being a perfect combination between elegance and the practical aspect of everyday life.
Composed of two levels, the living space, together with the kitchen, the dining room and the office are located on the lower floor, while the bedroom spaces are above. A cantilevered bedroom platform extends over the side of the house, providing a garage. The living space is luminous and elegant, with comfortable furniture and it is continued by the kitchen space, with a lot of natural light coming from the large windows, reflecting inside the light and the beautiful landscape. The use of minimal wood accents in the furniture, concrete floors and the white palette create a simple atmosphere, used to be met day by day in a normal home. The metallic chairs lead you upstairs, to the bedroom spaces. Under the stairs there is a perfect place to deposit the bike.
The child’s bedroom is characterized by the same simplicity, combined with a practical aspect, getting together aesthetic design and fulfilling playing necessities. The whole house develops strong visual and spatial ties between interior and exterior space.
