Harmony, Good Taste and Simplicity within a Single House - The Port Ludlow Residence

The Port Ludlow Residence is designed by Finne Architects and it is located on a wooden waterfront property at the north end of the Hood Canal, a long, fjord-like arm of western Puget Sound. The house is simple and comfortable and it looks as the house of your dreams!

Surrounded by wild forest, the house invites you in a shelter, an oasis of peace and relaxation, without lacking you the beauty of nature. With its floor to ceiling glass walls, the whole forest seems to penetrate inside and to surround you with green freshness. Still, you feel warm and cozy, because of the intimacy inside. The east-facing house is sited along a high bank, with a wonderful view of the water. The living space is fluid, mingled with the kitchen space and revealing a cozy and well equipped kitchen, radiating good energy and making you feel like home. The glass table set for four in the kitchen space evokes a family intimate reunion, taking a late dinner and enjoying the sight through the huge glass wall.

The living area invites you to sit comfortable on a coach, or enjoy the warm of a nice fireplace. Anchoring the north end of the living space is a two-story building volume containing several bedrooms, with minimal furniture and plenty of space to relax. The finishes are simple and elegant, the colors are in a perfect harmony and the whole building invites you to enjoy a calm and peaceful atmosphere.
