The Home for Travel Writers is the dream house of an Australian couple of writers who live in New York, who love city of Merida and decide to have a house in there. The building is the perfect home where you can return at the end of a busy day.
They planned to transform the house into a modern and hospitable place, with original tile floors as well as extraordinary high ceilings. Though so high, the house in simple and very beautiful, receiving you with the blue water of a swimming pool which almost penetrates the interior space, developing the fluidity of spaces. Seen from the other entrance, the building looks like an exotic luxury ship, anchored and waiting for its passengers to embark. Inside the building an astonishing bathroom design invites you to enjoy its luxury and simple design and the big impressive kitchen shelters a whole family and their guests for a cozy or glamorous dinner.
The whole house has simple aspect of elegance, white and blue colors and minimalist furniture, reflecting the owners’ habits, because they are, in fact, travelers and need a practical home. And their building tells us the story they want us to find out.
