Wood House Hided in the Middle of the Forest

This house was designed by a Sweden-based architecture firm WRB, Stockholm and it is a chalet built in the middle of a refreshing forest landscape. The building fits the landscape surrounding and completes it, through its shape and construction.

The theme for the plan is to divide the house into different zones, the use of which depends on the climate and the condition of the weather. It is provided with floor to ceiling large glass walls, which could be covered by night with wooden stores in such a manner that the daylight and the entire atmosphere of the forest remains present and follows you inside, in a cozy and intimate atmosphere.

The main functions of the chalet are concentrated o a core area which is well insulated and can be heated in winter. You can see the cozy fireplace inside the living space at night, through the transparent walls and you can imagine yourself dreaming. In summer, the habitable area can be extended to the terrace and hallway, which are heated only by solar radiation. This could be the perfect hiding place, far away from the madding crowd.
