Lilypad, the Floating Ecopolis

The Lilypad is a great example of modern architecture and extreme engineering, because it’s designed as a floating ecopolis, but it also uses the most advanced technologies. Vincent Gallebaut designed the Lilypad ecopolis having in mind the rising ocean levels and growing world population.

The floating ecopolis will be built with the environment in mind and it’s sole role is to hold 50,000 inhabitants, which only using natural resources, like rain water and having plants all over it. You should check the photos and better understand what I am talking about. This is one of the greatest projects ever, in my opinion.

smaller scale would have commercial value in the near future. Espescially when the model can stand with Tsunami blasts

Yes, Tsunamis are a big danger for this project, but I’m sure they will think about that.

this requires a high level of technology!! if this may happen and be built in the future, it will be a big hit!! 😀 COOL!!

I’m sure every rich guy out there will want a condo in the ecopolis.
