OCT Design Museum by Studio Pei-Zhu

Studio Pei-Zhu designed the original OCT Design Museum located in Shenzhen, China. Because it is located close to the bay and because was necessary a space for exhibition, we can consider that the design of this museum reveals this fact. The structure has an infinite character and it makes you feel that you are actually admiring it due to the dense fog appearance.
Fashion shows, product design, conceptual automotive shows can be admired inside of this cloud. To continue the organic description I could say that the only triangular window is actually a flock of birds flying. Imagine an automobile exhibition, these look very heavy in a normal showroom but here they will be weightless. On the first floor was placed the lobby and café, then, on the next level and also on the third one are organized the exhibitions.
The museum curves, the shadows and the intense colors made from this building the perfect showroom. To ensure flexibility in scale and function were made movable walls. The lines from the interior are the same with the exterior one, the continuity of the curving space gives this smooth organic form. OCT Museum is 300 meters from the ocean, it seems to float above the ground, just arrived from another planet.
