Contemporary and Exquisite Carpinteria Foothills Residence
Talking about luxury and contemporary design taken up to that limit that just takes your breath away, well, here’s a residence that i’m sure you’ll love. Carpinteria Foothills Residence has been designed by Neumann Mendro Andrulaitis Architects, and beautifully defines the concept of a tranquil and luxurious place for living.
The house is located on a ridge in the foothills of Carpinteria, ten miles down the coast from Santa Barbara, and offers some splendid views of the panoramic coastal ridge. The project hosts a master suite, a guest room, a study for two and an informal open living space, big enough for the whole family. The architects have tried to build an amazing place to live without disturbing the root systems of those beautiful oak trees that surround the residence, creating each structure with its own orientation and privacy. The structure can be defined by the use of glass walls framed between large stonewalls constructed of the local Santa Barbara Sandstone.
The connection between the interior and the exterior landscape is made via a huge opening with an inviting forced perspective effect that frames the natural panorama. The interior design is very modern and elegant, and features simple and modern elements, carefully chosen to create a relaxing environment. What I really love about this house is that from every place, no matter if it’s the kitchen or the bedroom, the use of expansive operable glazed walls provide some amazing views.
