Dune Road Residence by Stelle Architects

The next house called the Dune Road Residence has been designed by Stelle Architects and is located in a dune area in Bridgehampton, New York, on a classic ocean front site.

Dune Road Residence is a reconstruction of an old house that was slated for demolition, due to the fact that being located into the dune, which is of course a problematic area, after some time the coastal construction standards required a much higher elevation than before. The architects have tried to keep as much elements as possible from the original home and design a residence that could reflect the footprint and spirit of the original. Another important factor was to keep the existing scale and dynamics of the site.

The structure of the house is composed of three levels, one for the owners, one for their guests, and one for living and dining. Now, the interior design is very modern and chic and uses several elements to create a comfy space. It opens up to a terrace, which seem like the perfect space for relaxation and tranquility, a place where you can read a book or just enjoy the breeze of the sea. A glass pavilion overlooks a negative edge pool while a path from the garage leads through a natural seaside landscape.
