RIVERFIRST by Kennedy & Violich Architecture and Tom Leader Studio

Kennedy & Violich Architecture and Tom Leader Studio were the winners of the Mineapolis Piverfront Design Competition. They have won the competition by demonstrating an extensive research and positing several solutions for the 11 miles of riverfront.

Through this proposal the designers created a comprehensive remediation of the city’s storm water management system transforming it into a system of tributaries that are naturally cleaned with planted bio-filtration landscapes and returned to the river.
