Original Idea of Covering Runic Stones in Jelling

One of the most amazing designs was made in World Heritage Site. The jelling stones which are a thousand years old and it essentially represents a symbol of the passing of Denmark to Christianity in order not to be forgotten by anyone until the end of the world, is an important part of the wonderful history of this country.

The stones must be kept in certain conditions in order not to be destroyed over the years, and needs to be kept in a specific environment in areas that are kept inside a temperature conducive to damage these artifacts not important enough to dwell in the land. This unique project made by designers mark a piece of the long and hard history of Denmark, a religious part of it and for that is named also the “Birth certificate” of the country. They started the project not a long time ago, in December 2011 and are Nobel Prize winning architect in 2010.

The way they placed the two stones symbolize the two kings of Denmark Gorm and Harald Bluetooth. Signs displayed on each stone has a great significance of this Historical are positioned in such a way to emphasize the fact that they represent for each of the inhabitants of these countries.
