Spectacular Attic Apartment in Stockholm

With this lovely project, the architects have tried to display an original look of an attic apartment, which incorporates a few design elements inspired by the city of Stockholm.

The apartment is located in Skeppsolmen, and occupies an area of 141 square meter, displaying an asymmetrical structure. The living room is a double-height area, similar with a two-level structure, but except the fact that the second level is actually a small working/study space, and the access was made via a few shelves used together as a stair. The apartment has a modern look dominated by a simple and elegant white and gray color palette, the inclined windows used in a row provides an extraordinary amount of light and gives the feeling of a spacious and open space.

An interesting aspect regarding this apartment is that the inclined walls and ceiling, which provide a modern look, combines with the traditional wooden beams covered in a white color. I find very interesting the idea of a bookcase wall, because it’s both very functional and looks great. The eating area is all about a black table in the middle of the white, with a modern pendant suspended from the ceiling right above the table.
