Exotic Kayu Aga House located in Bali
Combining pastoral surroundings with modern living, the Indonesian architect Yoka Sara have designed the Kayu Aga house, a beautiful residence located in a peaceful area and small community in Canggu, Bali.
The house features a four cornered structure with three orthogonal sleeping pavilions, where each of these pavilions provide private garden courts and outdoor bathrooms and a carport shaping the floor plan. The architecture of this contemporary house combines harmoniously with the nature, using several bamboo elements everywhere inside the house and also outside the house. The Kayu Aga House is original through its curved walls and roof, sustained by some heavy concrete columns, completed by a few bamboo elements.
A beautiful semi-circular terrace can be reached via a modern oval bamboo/metal staircase, and is located on top of a pond adorned with simple white columns. A central two-story pavilion houses the living and dining spaces, and on top are located an elevated studio and a roof garden that seems to float. The house seems to be one of those perfect places where you can relax and enjoy a peaceful evening, it features a contemporary interior design, very warm and cozy and providing some great views to the east of paddy fields and beautiful sunrises.
