Great Office Design made using Paperboard

The Rabobank Headquarters offices have been recently designed by Sander Architecten, and the request of the owners was to create an open environment, a place where employees can work in a team and feel comfortable with no stress pressing on their shoulders. It’s a place where employees can eat, read, meet and work within a diversified and spacious environment.

So, the main goal was to create a place that could improve and promote the collaboration and team work, resulting a 56,000 square meter office that was partitioned horizontally so it won’t interact with the work flow. The concept was to create something unique and appealing, something different from the usual and conventional stark offices, and they thought about using paperboard separations. The final result looks just great, and more than that the paperboard can be recycled and is considered to be one of the most popular materials used in many industries.

The beauty and serenity of this place is accentuated by the grid skylights and the custom-designed paperboard, that beautifully covers the giant cylinders and creates a some great meeting rooms. There were used some modern methods of constructions and, for me, this is a great interior design for an office.
