Phinney Modern by Elemental Architecture
Phinney Modern is located in Seattle Phinney Ridge neighborhood and it is designed by the local studio Elemental Architecture. This three storey house is build on 2510 sqft, on a small in-fill lot.
Its architecture is quite strange, as an example lets start with the top-floor living room that projects across the garden in a twisted cantilever. Next to the living room is the kitchen with its big glass doors that open to a large balcony. Especially the front façade has walls made by glass, the rooms are lit enough and the owners can enjoy beautiful views from all the levels.
On the first floor were placed the bedrooms, utility room and office, this is the level were owners can enjoy privacy. The connection between this level is made by a modern staircase whose wall is used as a small library. At last on the ground floor is the garage. Taking it back, here we are on the rooftop, climbing a staircase that starts on the ground and gets to an amazing terrace. It is the perfect place to spend the sunny day, having a drink, a bath of sun or just looking on the neighborhood.
