Creative Mix of Old and New: Wright House

Elmo Swart Architects designed the Wright House that is located in Durban, South Africa. At this incredible cottage villa were added three bedroom traditional cottage which included two studies, a new bedroom, an entertainment space and an art gallery. These highly modern additions were integrated with the old house and formed a spectacular mixture.

The principal entrance is a narrow path to the old house, walking this road and seeing the front door you couldn’t imagine the design on the end of the house. The car parking has a special place, under the new attached rooms and it is large enough for two cars.

Now the house has a fluid form featuring large windows, the owners can enjoy beautiful views from the lush natural environment. On the opposite site it can be seen the art gallery that connects beautifully with the entrance to the valley. All the rooms have special forms one with lack of corners, ones with oblique walls.

This pretty house is surrounded by green views, even next to the windows branches of the trees touch them slowly when the wind is blowing. Close to the nature, with a spectacular design Wright House is more that you can imagine.
