Watervilla de Omval by +31 Architects

On the river Amstel in Amsterdam, the Netherlands there is a beautiful house, Watervilla de Omval designed by Dutch architects +31 Architects. In Holland living on the water is very popular, more and more people are attracted of this kind of houses.

Even if it is a typical houseboat its design is a contemporary one, the views of the water and the outdoor space are maximum exploited due to the open floor plan. With a panoramic view at the Amstel, on the waterfront are placed the living area and open kitchen. From this point the owners can get out on the floating terrace. On a split level is located the bedroom that introduces an open route to the ground floor of the boat.

At one end of the house, the roof of this split level is forming a terrace that will allow the owners to spend beautiful moments on the river Amstel, enjoying the view and the sun near to their house.

On the exterior the house is carried out in shiny aluminum and on the interior the walls are covered with white plaster following the curve of the facade. These are the elements that connect the interior design with the exterior one.
