Charming Urban Private House by Chyutin Architects
This gorgeous Urban Private House has been designed by Chyutin Architects and is located in Tel Aviv, Israel. The house actually represents a renovation of a three-storey apartment building typical of the common construction style in Tel Aviv in the thirties.
The concept idea of the architects was to renovate the old building and to create a beautiful family residence. In order to create the facade they’ve wanted, the architects have minimize the number of windows in all directions facing other houses in the area, except at the front, which faces onto a public park. The original building contained five apartments, two on each floor and one covering half of the roof. One of the elements that was kept due to the renovation was the joint stairwell of the apartment building, and it was left exactly how it was.
The entire house is structured in a very simple way, so at the ground floor you can find a living room, kitchen and dining room. The ground floor features some great wide windows overlooking the yard surrounded by a high fence, but also offering some great amount of natural light. At the first floor is the son’s apartment and studio. There’s also an apartment on the roof, and is totally allocated for bedrooms and a small living room.
