Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis by Allied Works Architecture
This Contemporary St. Louis Art Museum has been designed by Allied Works Architecture and is located in a neighborhood of empty lots in St. Louis, Missouri, USA.
The structure is made from reinforced concrete, formed by two opposing walls which interacts and cantilever over this new urban prairie, creating a connection between the ghost of the ideal city streets and the present landscape. Its lower walls creates large interconnecting galleries, displaying art and the potential work of artists.
The museum represents an open field that incorporates the city’s story and character along with the artists creations, spinning the perception of enclosure and transparency in various directions.
