Songdo International Business District by KPF
Architect Kohn Pedersen Fox designed the Songdo International Business District that is located in Incheon, Korea. The 1,500 acres project is meant to be a pedestrian friendly city with an active street life.
First World Towers designed by Kunwon Architects will be located in Songdo IBD. This 3,700,000 sqf project will house 7,000 of the city’s 65,000 residents.
Heerim designed the Northeast Asia Trade Tower that will be a landmark on the skyline of Songdo IBD. It will be located at the southern edge of the Central Park and its design includes offices, hotels, and service apartment components.
Songdo Central Park is adjacent to the West Sea on the coast of Korea near Seoul, designed by Yooshin it is the recreational heart of Songdo IBD. Over the canal system are designed a series of pedestrian bridges that will connect various civic and cultural destinations.
KPF developed Songdo International School, a state-of-the-art learning complex for over 2,000 students made for different school communities that will be separated without creating barriers by sunken gardens.
