Museum of Aviation and Aviation Exhibition Park / Pysall
Lotnictwa Museum, one of the largest museums of aviation in the world is located in Krakow, Poland and it was designed by Pysall. Ruge Architekten, Bartlomiej Kisielewski.
Because it is build on the first polish airfield from 1912, Rakowice-Cyzyny in Cracow the modular scale is set by the old hangars for the footprint (60×60 m) and the height (12m) for the new building. Its structure expresses the idea of flying, the airfield history most of all due to its triangular wings made of concrete.
Entering in the building you have to choose where to go first, into the education wing to the voluminous 3D-cinema or into the exhibition area with the planes.
